She is a dedicated educator, compassionate community health advocate, and purpose-driven servant leader whose life and career reflect an unwavering commitment to human development, health equity, and community transformation in Liberia.

A graduate of the Liberia Cooperative Standard Education School System (LICOSESS), Mrs. Gonleh holds a Teacher Training Certificate and Associate Degree credentials that have equipped her with a strong pedagogical foundation and a passion for shaping young minds. She is also a trained Community Healthcare Provider, further broadening her capacity to serve at the intersection of education and public health.

As a Co-Founder of the Progressive Health Initiative of Liberia (PHIL LIBERIA), Mrs. Gonleh stands among the visionary pioneers who recognized that health equity is not a privilege but a fundamental right of every Liberian. Her contribution to the founding and growth of PHIL Inc. reflects her deep belief that communities can only thrive when their people are educated, healthy, and empowered.

Mrs. Gonleh brings over a decade of rich professional experience spanning caregiving, coaching, and education:

•   Caregiver EQUIP Liberia (2012 – 2014) Provided compassionate, human-centered care with empathy and dedication.
•   Coach for Trainees | EDU-Care Liberia (2015 – 2017) Mentored and equipped trainees with practical skills and professional confidence.
•   Teacher | New Hope Academy (2019 – 2022) Fostered academic excellence and character development among students.
•   Teacher | Mount Zion Christian Academy (2023 – Present) Continues to pour knowledge, heart, and experience into empowering the next generation.

Beyond her professional roles, Mrs. Gonleh is a woman of faith, a community champion, and a tireless advocate for the health and well-being of every person she encounters. She firmly believes that education and health are the twin pillars of a thriving society and she lives that conviction every single day.

Mrs. Gertrude Z. Gonleh is not simply a Co-Founder of PHIL Inc. she is a founding heartbeat of its mission, its values, and its vision for a healthier, more equitable Liberia.
