Who We Are
The Progressive Health Initiative of Liberia (PHIL Liberia) is a registered nonprofit nongovernmental organization founded on July 2, 2022, and headquartered in Monrovia, Liberia. Ongoing operations in the southeastern part of Liberia, Maryland County. We are a volunteer-driven organization committed to closing the gap in health access for underserved and rural communities across Liberia.
With active operations anchored in Maryland County currently and its surrounding, PHIL Liberia works at the grassroots level, meeting communities where they are and delivering health awareness, education, and advocacy in ways that are culturally relevant, sustainable, and community-owned.
From maternal and child health to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), menstrual hygiene management, and adolescent health, PHIL Liberia addresses the full spectrum of community health needs through direct programming, strategic partnerships, and impactful public communications.
The Progressive Health Initiative of Liberia (PHIL Inc) is dedicated to advancing health equity for all communities by empowering individuals through education, advocacy, and access to essential health services.
We strive to dismantle systemic barriers, ensuring that every person, regardless of their socio-economic status, has the opportunity to achieve optimal health and well-being. Through collaborative partnerships and sustainable health initiatives, we envision a healthier, more equitable world where all voices are heard and all needs are met.
Optimal health for the population we serve, and to accelerate progress against diseases at community and global levels. We see a Liberia where geography and socio-economic status no longer determine health outcomes, where every community has the knowledge, resources, and support to thrive.
